Grade 5

I enjoy attending S.H.S because…

Grade 6

Faith in every student at S.H.S. is...

1. ๏S.H.S expresses its faith tremendously.  Every Friday we attend Mass. Each morning over the loudspeaker prayers are said.  During the prayer everything is quiet; it’s a peaceful time when we listen to the Word of God.  Our religion classes are taught with feeling and the stories are read with passion for God by every student.  We are fortunate to be able to learn about God and voice our opinions.
   

2. ๏S.H.S. is a wonderful school.  All of the students here are very smart and persevering and it’s all because of our faithful teachers.  The teachers here have faith that all of their students will be successful.  That faith can raise self-esteem and make the students work harder.  When their work is rewarded the students feel better about themselves.  In addition to the teachers being faithful, they’re also very kind and patient.  These are very good characteristics that we learn from our teachers.
   

Grade 7

Something special about S.H.S. is...

1. ๏The committed teachers and staff.  We get a very good education at our school and we couldn’t get it without our teachers.  The teachers at our school are very good at what they do.  They are also very kind and funny.  If there is a problem, the teachers always know how to solve it.  The teachers do not teach us because they have to; they teach us because they want to.  They treat all the students equally and try to make learning fun.  Without our teachers, we would not get such a good education.
   

2. ๏This school has a lot of special things.  One thing that stands out is that everyone cares about each other.  We have assemblies and fundraisers.  Everyone really cares about the school.  We have fun together, we learn together and that is what really mattes.  The teachers are great.  I don’t think that I can get a better teacher that cares for me like this at another school.  You form good relationships with your friends and teachers become your friends as well. I really like this school.  The relationship with the teachers is why you want to come back to this great school.
   

Grade 8

What I learned while at S.H.S...

1. ๏In my many years at S.H.S. I have learned to respect people and love people for who they are.  In doing so I feel I have done my best to make S.H.S. better.  My journey here was long and hard, but because of the great staff I have become a well-rounded person.
   

2. ๏Since I got here nine months ago, I noticed that S.H.S. is a giant family, it really is.  The students have been here so long that they are like brothers.  Everyone is kind and gets along and even helps one another.  Sometimes the students help the teachers, for example carrying something for them, but most of the time the teachers help you with whatever you need.  S.H.S. is a giant family; you gotta see it to believe it!
   

3. ๏I learned that everyone here is family.  Everyone will stand by your side.  This school has taught me to be different and unique.  I have learned virtues and morals of life through many people here at S.H.S.
